King Khan's salaam makes fans ecstatic

LUDHIANA: King Khan's Salaam to the city on Wednesday left the residents ecstatic. From commissioner of police to young girls and children all were seen waiting for the super star who did not disappoint any of his fans and freely gave his autographs and posed with them for photographs.

Shah Rukh Khan's much-awaited visit in the city, delayed by a day, started from Hero Cycles factory near Sherpur after the star landed at Sahnewal airport. A huge gathering comprising commissioner of police Sharad Satya Chauhan and industrialists was waiting patiently for the super star.

The fans, waiting with baited breath at a city mall on Ferozepur road could finally exhale, after Khan landed there. Loud cheers and heightened frenzy of the anxious crowd, comprising mostly of young girls and boys who had been waiting to catch a glimpse, greeted the Badshah.

"I have come to see him. For me it's a lifetime opportunity to see him in flesh and blood,' said Neha, a resident of BRS Nagar, who had come along with her friend Arman Ahluwalia.
The fans were not disappointed with the actor obliging them by posing for photographs. He also addressed the media and talked about his city links greeting every one with 'Sat Sri Akal'.
"I am ecstatic as he first shook hands with me and then he also posed for a pic with me.

People say that he has a lot of attitude but frankly speaking he is very sweet and he is so down to earth," said Arti, a college student and a resident of Rajguru Nagar, who was accompanied by her mother.

Children also made the most of the occasion and took autographs of their favorite star, who in turn focused his attention on them. "I got the autographs from him but I could not tell him that my mother really likes his acting. However, I told him that I really liked his dress and his movies also," said 8 years old fan, Jasria, a resident of BRS Nagar, who had come along with her parents and six years old brother Uday Pratap.

The crowd had more in store as Shah Rukh also danced on numbers like 'Chammak challo', 'dildara dildara' on the demand of his fans and some of his young fans and children also go the opportunity of dancing with him.
