10,000 fans, 1,000 cops, 1 Shah Rukh Khan

This was actor-producer Shah Rukh Khan's first big promotional activity in Bangalore and it really showed that the city did miss the actor.

About 10,000 plus fans queued up to see their favourite actor entertain them at the Royal Meenakshi Mall on Sunday. And boy, did he live up to all the expectations. He did a full jig to Chammak Challo, the chartbuster from his movie Ra.One, and grooved to some other tunes as well.

Yes, there was a little chaos; some mothers and children had a few moments of tension, when the crowd had them separated for those few minutes.

One escalator was almost broken. But, seeing Shah Rukh live was worth it all, said the fans.

About 1,000 cops (civic, KSRP, traffic and all others included) ensured that this was an event that didn't affect the people.
"This was an event of public interest. We had a lot of people to take care of. We wanted to make sure nobody is injured, and we knew since this was a widely publicised promotional activity, we were expecting big numbers," said Harsha, DCP, South East Bangalore
