Time for excuses is over: SRK

After Kolkata Knight Riders crashed to another defeat on Tuesday, losing to Delhi Daredevils, team owner Shah Rukh Khan came out with an unusually stern reaction. "Time for excuses is over. Either we play better or keep being deserving losers," the Bollywood actor tweeted shortly after KKR lost yesterday in Delhi. The comment on Twitter is being seen by many as a guarded admonishment aimed at Knights skipper Sourav Ganguly, who blamed the defeat against Daredevils on the toss after the match. After the sharp comment, Shah Rukh then followed it up, writing: "Am disappointed & will try and sleep this disappoinment off. Hope the team introspects & comes bak strong. Professionals can do that."

A day before the KKR-Daredevils match, the Kolkata franchise owner had asked upon the players to perform as a unit if they needed to get back to winning ways. "Dada and gang at kkr... be tough and play like a team again. Insha allah... we will win today... in my city delhi," Shah Rukh had posted on his Twitter account.
