Absence of SRK from the KKR match is a winsome pact!

Mumbai: When millions are at stake, every action of yours is accountable, even your absence! Because that's exactly what happened in the opening match of the IPL season 3, when Shah Rukh was not present to cheer up his team, the Kolkata Knight Riders as they won a seemingly dubitable match against the last year champions, the Deccan Chargers.

Shah Rukh missing from the stand only made luck favour his team. Everyone knows about his zeal and passion to make his team the No1 in the IPL, very much the way he enjoys his own stature in Bollywood, but his absence yesterday proved lucky for his team.

When it's Kolkata Knight Riders playing, there is no way he wouldn`t have watched the game, so he arranged to watch it with a few of his close friends at his new theatre in Mannat.

Talking to the media, a source close to the actor said, "Last year when Shah Rukh went for all the KKR matches, certain controversies erupted. This time he wants to avoid unnecessary controversies and confusion. SRK loves his team and wants all the players motivated, and focused on the game. He understands that his presence might create some issue again, so he decided to skip this game."

Shah Rukh had told us prior to the match, "I am with the team until 4 pm. The first match gets too nerve-wracking, so I will decide as I travel with them should I go in or not. Sometimes my presence at a match puts pressure on the boys. I will ask dada and the team and take a decision."

Well, that's a logical bite. Let's hope the wins keep pouring more often, but not without SRK missing up from the stand.
