SRK arrives at Eden after "no show" tweet

Shahrukh Khan on Sunday arrived at Eden Gardens with his wife after he said he might skip Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)' s match with Bangalore Royal Challengers and watch it on TV in his hotel room here if all seatings were not done.

KKR is facing Bangalore Royal Challengers at Eden Gardens on Sunday amid controversy over seating arrangements and a special hospitality enclosure for which tickets were sold at premium but later the authorities certified it as unfit.

"Will watch it in the stadium if all our seatings etc are done.

Otherwise with the family at the hotel," the King Khan, who owns KKR, tweeted during the day.

The KKR plans of setting up a super hospitality enclosure at Eden Gardens ran into trouble after state fire services refused to grant fit certificate but later permission was given to KKR with conditions
by Kolkata's police commissioner.

Reports said tickets were sold for the seats at Rs 32,000 each.

The actor also tweeted on the spirits of the team.

"Team in the pool...gearing up for the match. Looking cheerful and happy. Good sign. Kids also in the pool looking cheerful...best sign," he posted on Twitter.

Juhi Chawla, another owner of KKR, is also in town.

Two former Indian cricket captains, Saurav Ganguly and Anil Kumble are clashing at the Eden Gardens here on Sunday in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match.

KKR won the toss and decided to field.

While Ganguly-led Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is upbeat with a win against Deccan Chargers in their last match, the Bangalore Royal
Challengers has the likes of Rahul Dravid and Jacques Kallis, apart from Kumble and there is no scope for taking them lightly.

In the IPL 2, the Bangalore team had reached the finals, but lost to Deccan Charges.

KKR ended at the bottom of the table.
