MY NAME IS KHAN music to be showcased in 20 countries

The relationship between Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and global music giants, Sony Music, has withstood the test of times for more than a decade and has been a fulfilling one for both. Right from KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI to WAKE UP SID, they have always delivered some quality music and it is but natural that the music album of perhaps the most anticipated and the biggest movie of 2010, MY NAME IS KHAN, will be another rewarding experience for both Dharma Productions and Sony.

In order to keep up with the current demand of heavy and aggressive marketing and promotion, Sony has chalked out an intensive plan to showcase Karan Johar's directorial venture starring Bollywood's global superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in all key international markets.

In what must be a first in overseas marketing, the music of MNIK will be showcased in over 20 countries with specific marketing plans for each territory. Cross over markets will also be targeted and Fox Star Studios, which is the global distributor, is chalking out a theatrical plan for the project. This was revealed by one of Sony's top marketing director, who also disclosed that apart from the above, there will be associations with leading music channels, GEC Channels, radio networks and web marketing with emphasis on innovative and aggressive promotion, the kind that a big project like MY NAME IS KHAN deserves and needs.

Certainly this revelation has indeed come at the right time as the teasers of the melodious soundtracks of the film are already making waves and need just the right kind of thrust which should be provided by the top music company, Sony.
