SRK stuns Orlando and Milla

Shah Rukh Khan's huge fan following in Berlin has stunned Hollywood superstars Orlando Bloom and Milla Jovovich.

Both were staying in the same hotel in the historic German city as SRK, who is shooting Don 2, and were oblivious about King Khan until now. But on the eve of SRK's birthday (November 2) his fans in Berlin camped outside the hotel. About 500 people stood there in the cold waiting to get a glimpse of the Bollywood superstar. They even waved the Indian flag and hoped SRK would meet them after wrapping up work. The actor, who finished at 12.30 am, went straight to meet his local fans and celebrate his birthday with them. He danced, signed autographs and bonded with them for about half an hour. The fans had even brought home cooked food and cake for him. Orlando and Milla, who had not seen such frenzy and passion among Hollywood fans, quietly made enquiries with the hotel staff about this celebrated guest.

When they learned it was SRK, they expressed amazement at the reception he was getting. And, this is the icing on Shah Rukh Khan's birthday cake, the Hollywood stars sent their best wishes to the Indian actor through the hotel staff.

This is a wonderful tribute to the superstar of Bollywood, King Khan. For those who are yet to truly see the magic of Indian Cinema, the biggest movie industry in the world, this is first of many surprises.
Adding to the drama and traction created by Shah Rukh's stay in Berlin, even the German government bent its rules for the superstar.
Germany has some very strict rules about smoking and does not allow it in any of it's hotels. However, as Shah Rukh Khan was a VIP guest in his Berlin hotel, the Mayor gave him special permission to smoke in his private balcony. An ashtray was provided so he would not ruin the carpeting.
Perhaps this was because King Khan was scheduled to shoot Don 2 in Berlin for a 2-month period, for renowned director Farhan Akhtar.
Shah Rukh has gained significant fame in the Hollywood circuit since he was invited to be a guest presenter at the 2009 Golden Globes amongst other renowned celebrities. After the success of Slumdog Millionaire, there has been a lot of attention paid to films originating from India.
I do not mean to condone the smoking aspect of this occurrence, but more so to highlight the meteoric rise of Bollywood superstars and the clout they are carrying around these days.
His whole stay for the shooting of Don 2 has now gone over $160,580 (room-rent alone)in total and is rising every day.
It is even more exciting to see that stars like Orlando Bloom and Milla Jojovich, who are considered major stars in Hollywood were amazed at the fan following attracted my the Bollywood star. Here's to the 500+ Bollywood fans in Germany who camped outside Shah Rukh's hotel to celebrate his birthday with him.
