SRK can't save this film!

Laali (Preetika Chawla) is a girl who makes her living by selling flowers at street signals. One fine day Shah Rukh Khan stops his car at the signal, not to buy flowers from Laali, but merely to say she looks beautiful. Neither is the girl absolutely attention-grabbing nor do we believe Shah Rukh has the time in the world to compliment any random girl. A journalist sees potential story in this petty phenomena while director Makrand Despande sees a prospective movie plot in this trivial occurrence!

Further there's Mr John (not Abraham) madly in love with Laali and is so envious after the Shah Rukh Khan episode that he stabs Laali. Despite that Laali forgives him simply because he gets tickets of SRK's film DDLJ. Also there's Champa who is as much obsessed with John as much as John is obsessed with Laali.

The storytelling is very ambiguous with the focus fluctuating constantly from the journalist's viewpoint to Laali's outlook. There are too many half-baked and unresolved subplots that contribute nothing to the narrative. The editing is bad and the flow of the film is interrupted with several silly songs. The entire film is stretched on the single conflict of John's love for Laali and gets repetitive after a point of time.

The performances vary from silly to amateurish. While Preetika Chawla is plain passable, Sanjay Dadheech as John is miserable. The actress playing Champa does a decent job.

The entire idea of a girl's life changing after an arbitrary encounter with her biggest fan Shah Rukh Khan never comes across in the film. Neither the girl nor the film can boast of being Khoobsurat.
