Ramesh Chandra Chhiba, Shah Rukh Khan's ailing pa-in-law, was shifted to Escorts Heart Institute in New Friends Colony on Tuesday because of the chaotic situation in Max Healthcare, Saket. While he is in the ICU – and nobody is allowed to meet him – Gauri, along with mom Savita Chhiba and her niece are staying in the presidential suite of the hospital. A source informs, "The three of them stay there all the time. Gauri's nephew accompanies them at times. Gauri herself had not been keeping well past one week. Her father's problem only added to her health problems. But she is fine now."
When SRK left on Monday, he had said that he would want to come again to meet his dad-in-law. Is he going to come back very soon or is he going to avoid this to refrain from unintentionally creating frenzy at the hospital? The source says, "He needs some rest as he has lost a lot of weight. He looks very skinny too. Khan is resting, but he is constantly in touch with Dr Seth who is presently doing Chhiba's treatment. Dr Seth is a very good friend of Khan, and he keeps him updated on the developments. Khan cannot plan in advance if he can come or not. Ideally, he prefers to get 2-3 tickets booked for different timings of a day. So if he wraps up meetings and shootings of the day in time, he will take the next available flight to Delhi and will be picked up from the airport accordingly. One can get to know that he is going to come only a few hours before he reaches." RC Chhiba's health is better. The docs will put the rest of the two stents in a couple of days.
