Shah Rukh Khan: More influential than Sachin Tendulkar,

Whom do you think is more influential? Sachin Tendulkar or Shah Rukh Khan? Well, there can't be a distinct answer, because SRK is also hugely famous throughout the world (yes, I deliberately framed this sentence in this way, because I am with the God, Sachin!). But the internet version of the TIME magazine says that SRK is much more influential than Sachin Tendulkar. Recently, they have published their '100 Most Influential Person' list, and in this list, SRK reigns at the 7th position, where asTendulkar is at 10th spot. SRK leads Tendulkar by more than 1000 votes, and it is still counting.

Till yesterday night (3rd April), Sachin was at 8th position and SRK at 10th, but today the table has turned, and SRK is 3 steps ahead of the maestro. Frankly speaking, one can't say that Sachin has inspired more than SRK. The Cinema halls go packed on his new releases, but in my view there is no one in this country who can be compared with Sachin….be it in any respect.

TIME has commented about Tendulkar: "The greatest batsman of his — or arguably any — generation, Tendulkar continues to smash records at an age most cricketers hang up their gloves. In February, he became the first man to score 200 runs in a one-day international, a feat comparable to Roger Bannister's 4-minute mile. Despite being held in reverence by a billion Indians (and in awe by hundreds of millions of cricket fans around the world),Tendulkar has a reputation, rare among sports gods, for humility and self-deprecation."

But on the other hand the website has a different say about SRK. It praises him for being one of the biggest superstars in India, but it says nothing about his acting prowess.

"Known to his adoring fans as King Khan, the superstar shows no sign of flagging at the box office: his latest vehicle, My Name Is Khan, is a critical and commercial smash. Khan produces most of his movies, which has helped make him one of Bollywood's richest men, with an estimated net worth in excess of $500 million. And he has successfully fused India's two great passions — movies and cricket — by buying a cricket team in the wildly popular Indian Premier League." Read the website.

But there is one strange thing about the website. It is open for the voters to vote, but the problem is, one man can cast unlimited number of votes. You just need to refresh the page every time, and you can vote for SRK for n number of times. This reminds me the classic case of Imdb.com. There is a rumor that The Dark Knight makers open hundreds of 'imdb accounts', so that they themselves can give high rating to their movie, and that is why, when the movie released, it ruled the first spot, toppling The Godfather. I don't say that this is happening here too, but there are mad worshipers of both the idols. I myself voted thrice forTendulkar.

The other Indians in the list are, PM Manmohan Singh, writer Chetan Bhagat, and actress Preity Zinta.
