SRK turns brand ambassador for toothpaste

After endorsing brands like Hyundai Santro, Linc pens, Navratna Oil and Tag Heuer, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will now endorse Pepsodent toothpaste.

In the ad campaign titled Papa & Pappu (P&P), Shah Rukh will be seen playing a doting father, while child artist Keval will play his son Pappu.

"Shah Rukh Khan is the best choice for ‘Papa’ in the campaign as the super successful actor also practices what he preaches. He is the perfect role model of a father who finds ways to spend time with his own children away from his active schedule and stardom," Srinandan Sundaram, Category Head - Oral Care, Hindustan Unilever Limited said in a statement.

Shah Rukh and his wife Gauri have two children - son Aryan and daughter Suhana.

Shah Rukh Khan: I wish I could tweet to my parents in heaven

May 19, 2010, (Sawf News) - Shah Rukh Khan was feeling sad he didn't get time to pay respect to his parents at their burial ground in his hometown Delhi.

The 45-year-old Bollywood superstar was in the capital for TAG Heuer's 150 years anniversary celebration event on May 19.

Shah Rukh launched at new watch at the event that alwo say India's motor racing prodigy and Formula One driver, Karun Chandhok, became the latest brand ambassador for the luxury watch brand.

After the event while at the Delhi airport for his flight back to Mumbai, Shah Rukh tweeted:

"in the airpor lounge & writing. wish there was a twitter in heaven...could write to parents. maybe should have gone to their burial place.

"tag was fun & very hot. delhi is burning.always enjoy tag outings...babin & co of tag r very elegant and fun. launched the pendulum watch."

Shah Rukh's father Taj Mohammed Khan was a freedom activist. His mother Lateef Fatima was the adopted daughter of Major General Shah Nawaz Khan of the Janjua Rajput clan, who served as a General in the Indian National Army of Subash Chandra Bose.

Khan's father came to Gurgaon from Qissa Kahani Bazaar in Peshawar before the Partition of India, while his mother's family came from Rawalpindi, Pakistan.

SRK's work fundas!

Work is worship, right? Of course, but it's also fun, especially for Bollywood's badshah Shah Rukh Khan.

A staunch believer in hard work, he sure knows how to have his cake and eat it too. According to him work can be fun if one thinks it to be so. And since it's mostly work that defines people, he says he'd like to be defined as fun. SRK recently compared the process of making a movie to having an affair, one that's fun, exciting and... sexy. He adds that though one is never sure about the end results, it's the process that's more important. Hmm... how true indeed.

SRK reveals the mystery of Ra.1

He is a hero and the most desirable Bollywood actor in the overseas market. Already a superman at the B.O. as far as the overseas market is concern; Shah Rukh Khan who is donning the avatar of a superman in his next home production ‘Ra.1’ explains the title and reveals what’s the full form of Ra.1. He says “Ra.1 means Random Access-Version One, will understand when you see the film. Ra.1 site will be up soon.”

Well that’s the only information the superstar gave and many started wondering whether its was a khullasa (reveal) or was a smart ploy to add one more mystery to the film where Kareena plays his wife and Arjun Rampal will again show his negative shades after ‘Om Shanti Om’ and directed by Anubhav Sinha. Right now the shooting of the film has taken a back seat as the CEO of Red Chillies Entertainment - Bobby Chawla is still admitted in the hospital.

We hope Bobby recovers quickly and SRK starts filming his superman stunts in ‘Ra. 1’ and hopefully as and when the reels get completed, people will understand what’s the Badshah of Bollywood has in store in ‘Ra.1’.

Shahrukh Khan: The’ Housefull’ benefit in UK!

Shahrukh Khan is all set to take his shooting schedule of RA One ', to the UK.The King of bollywood has had a rather painful session of shooting in India.

However, news about the flick pulling it out much better in the UK, are floating around. The reason being that when the Sajid Nadiadwala film 'Houseful', was being filmed in the UK,  the producer was granted a whopping subsidy of Rs.12 crore from the Government of UK, as they were shooting the film there.

The tourist promotion of UK was said to be a major reason as to why this subsidy had been granted.

Thus, experts are reporting that even the King of bollywood, Shahrukh Khan might hugely benefit from this strategy. If the actor gets a subsidy too, it will bring his production cost down by a good percentage.

The 'Housefull' producer had reportedly saved upto 25 % of his cost by getting the facility to pay less for his shooting schedule. Thus, SRK might be able to save himself the trouble of shelling out more from his pocket too, thereby, saving his home production flick, a considerable amount of expenses.

Sometimes, it helps to tread on the trodden path!

Big B,SRK team up for a cause

Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan have teamed up with Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation for its national census programme. The prime motto of the BMC to rope in Big B and SRK is to get more publicity and therefore, create awareness among the citizens about the census form.

SRK has recently visited BMC officials to fill up the form and gave an assurance that he would do a needful. Amitabh has given a confirmation to be a part of the campaign but hasn't yet filled the form.

Actually, Census form requires a citizen to fill up the personal details and also enquires about movable and immovable properties.

Soon, Amitabh and Shahrukh will be seen promoting the census form so that every citizen become responsible to be transparent with BMC.
