It is now D for Dhoni: SRK

Ecstatic at India's World cup winning feat after 28 years, Superstar Shahrukh Khan, an ardent cricket fan, on Sunday said that the tattoo on his hand depicting alphabet 'D' would now mean 'Dhoni'.

King Khan sports the 'D' tattoo on his right hand, as a part of the look for Farhan Akhtar's upcoming action-thriller film 'Don 2: The Chase Continues'.

But with Mahendra Singh Dhoni's men beating Sri Lanka in the World Cup final last night, Shah Rukh said the tatoo would now mean 'Dhoni'.

"Thank you team India. I am very happy and proud of the Indian team. We have been waiting for this moment since 1983. The `D' tattoo on my hand would now change from `Don' and mean `Dhoni'," Shahrukh said, talking to media last night.

Like several fans, Shahrukh celebrated India's World Cup victory last night shouting from the roof of his car and waving the tricolour.

Why SRK Missed The Final

Wondering why Shah Rukh Khan  and family aren't cheering for Team India, as promised? Here's why! We hear that SRK yesterday suffered a hairline toe fracture while shooting, which has stopped him from cheering for the Boys in Blue at Wankhede stadium.

Shah Rukh, who watched the semi-final with friends Farhan Akhtar, Karan Johar, Hrithik and Suzzanne Roshan at his home 'Mannat', had expressed a desire to catch the final match at the stadium with wife Gauri and kids Suhana and Aryan.

"We will win the final also. Inshallah! The kids want to go and see. So I have to go there and watch the finals," Shah Rukh had declared after India's win over Pakistan.

But alas, his dream remained a dream. Never mind, he can always cheer his heart out in the comfort of his home.

Shahrukh Khan at Nokia Kolkatta Knight Riders Press Meet

While the Indian team was playing against the Pakistan team on Wednesday at the World Cup semi – final, Pak captain Shahid Afridi's younger brother Javed Afridi was commentating live on a radio station in India.

As the two teams battled to reach the finals, Javed revealed some lesser known facts about brother Shahid. He said, "Shahid is a huge fan of Shah Rukh Khan. He never misses out on his films and has seen My Name Is Khan at least a dozen times."

Javed also revealed that Shahid's mood dropped when he learnt that SRK won't be making it to the stadium in Mohali. "Shahid was upset that he missed a chance of meeting SRK. They have met a couple of times before though and he becomes like a star-struck kid every time."

The two hot Pathans - Shahid Afridi and Shah Rukh have interacted at an event in Mumbai back in 2009. Back then, SRK had said, "No matter how big a star I become, all the girls keep telling me 'You are not like Shahid Afridi'."

SRK invites Sallu to watch the WC at Mannat

It couldn't have come at a more appropriate time. Really! A double dhamaka awaits the Indian cricket/ movie fans at the same time.

If Wankhede stadium tomorrow will witness history in the making, SRK's bungalow `Mannat' will see another dhamal- a reunion between SRK and friend turned foe Salman Khan on Saturday 2nd April.

The duo fell out on the eve of Katrina Kaif's birthday about 3 years ago over some remark that Salman took very personally and vowed never to forgive SRK. But with time SRK genuinely made efforts to iron out their differences by indirectly extending the hand of friendship and an angry Salman only looked away.

But, time couldn't fight destiny and both the stars have decided to bury their issues, behave in the future and move on. And they have.... The meeting tomorrow at Mannat is a result of their effort. Both the stars' family and close friends are happy about this reunion.

So, if Wankhede will see the media lurking in every corner, Mannat will also see the attention of the World Cup fans divided.
