Sonal is SRK's fan

After shooting an ad film with Shah Rukh Khan, Sonal Chauhan was beside herself with joy

Sonal Chauhan is in jannat. Not referring to her film here; she's in seventh heaven after shooting an ad film with Shah Rukh Khan. Sonal happens to be his die-hard fan. Yes, we're talking posters, autographs, tattoos (ok, maybe not).

Since childhood, all Sonal had wished for was SRK's signature at the back of a poster that she has had for years at her Delhi residence. The moment Sonal got news about shooting this ad with SRK, she immediately called her parents and asked them to courier it to her.

When contacted, Sonal Chauhan said, "Yes I am a huge fan of Shah Rukh. I have watched Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge so many times that I have lost count.

When I became an actress, I dreamt of working with him one day. Finally, my dream has come true. When I learnt that I was going to do this ad, I was ecstatic. I called my parents in Delhi and we had a long conversation, reminiscing how I used to collect his posters.

I have a poster of his and I thought now was the best t
ime to have it autographed by him. Unfortunately, the poster reached me a day late. I had finished the shoot by then and I could not get the autograph.

But even while shooting, I could not gather enough courage to tell him that I was a huge fan, let alone tell him about the posters and pictures I collected. Nonetheless, now SRK and I are in the same frame and that picture will be my prized possession."

SRK-Gauri get protective in Mannat

/photo.cms?msid=6102557 Talk to Shah Rukh Khan and if you happen to be a woman, there’s no way you will not end up going weak in the knees. The actor too obliges his female fans by flashing his dimpled smile at them, posing for pictures and signing autographs for them. Just like women shower special attention on Shah Rukh, the actor reciprocates by ensuring women, around him are never ill-treated either.

We recall, during one of the press conferences, Shah Rukh drove the photographers into absolute frenzy (the way it happens every time SRK steps out and attends an event). SRK’s bodyguards tried to control the paparazzi and even in this extreme chaos the actor warned his bodyguards not to hurt any female reporters who were also waiting for his bytes.
The actor is extremely protective of women and hates it when they are put though any form of abuse or discomfort. Shah Rukh and Gauri have thus introduced a norm in Mannat that ensures total comfort for the women workers in the house.
In a tv documentary made on him, the actor himself revealed, “Gauri and I want the female workers of the house to feel at ease when they are working. We thus make sure that on few floors the men workers of the house are not allowed as the women shouldn’t feel conscious when they get up in the morning and start working.”

We were charmed, awed and inspired by SRK all this while but this piece of news has made us realize how great a soul he indeed is other than being a great actor. Hats off to you Shah Rukh.

Shah Rukh Khan was supposed to release his autobiography, 20 Years to a Decade, some time...

Shah Rukh Khan was supposed to release his autobiography, 20 Years to a Decade, some time this year. However, many things hampered his penning of the book, including work schedules, his shoulder injury, filming of Ra.One and a lack of inspiration, among other reasons.

A family holiday in Turkey, though, appears to be exactly what King Khan needed to revive the creative flow in his system!

Via Twitter, SRK reveals that he has finally gotten back to the task. The narrative style of the book will very much follow his easy and friendly conversational manner. SRK is apparently set to poke fun at himself, while underplaying his theatricality. The book release will now possibly happen towards the middle or the end of 2011.

If there's ever been a recounting of memoirs as eagerly awaited - it has to be for you, King Khan!

Vroom service

Shah Rukh will perform several stunts while driving the super-fast car in the film Ra.One

A team of technicians from The Pirates of the Caribbeanwill teach SRK to drive one of the world's fastest production cars

VICKEY LALWANI

Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for the most challenging driving lesson of his life. He will be taught how to drive one of the world's fastest production cars, the Volkswagen Bugatti, for his forthcoming film Ra.One. Yes, knowing how to drive isn't enough; you need special lessons for driving this mean machine. And knowing that SRK is a perfectionist, the teaching session is sure to last a while.
The title of the film Ra.One, which is SRK's most ambitious project till date, is short for
"Random Access Version One". Shah Rukh plays a superhero called G.One and drives a super fast car. And Shah Rukh would have to perform several different stunts while driving this vehicle.
A source from the crew of the film confirms that the decision to drive the Volkswagen Bugatti was Shah Rukh's. "Shah Rukh is taking most of the decisions on Ra.One by himself."
The itinerary is in place. The source says, "A team of technicians from The Pirates Of The Caribbean crew is being flown down, to teach Shah Rukh how to drive the car with
ease. When you are zipping at a top speed of 407 kilometres per hour your mind cannot afford to drift. Your concentration needs to be at its best," add the source.
Currently, Shah Rukh is busy holidaying with his family, we are told. "He will be taking his family to South Africa for the FIFA final. From there, he plans to go straight to London for the next schedule of Ra.One. It is in this schedule that most of the portions using the Volkswagen Bugatti would be shot. As soon as he reaches London, the experts will commence the driving lessons," says the source.

Coat marshal

The clothes might make some men, but in King Khan's case, he definitely makes them, says Mitali Parekh

Ihate shopping. Gauri does it for me. I only have one suit — a black one," Shah Rukh Khan said in an interview many years ago, during his rise to the throne. Since then, Gauri Khan has reached Victoria Beckham status for her love of premium brands, but SRK seems to have added only a handful of ensembles to his wardrobe.

Not that it matters — his vitality overshadows his clothes. Like it should. And it probably keeps Gauri happy — all the money saved goes into her enviable collection of clutches. He has a few key pieces he keeps rehashing and carrying off with insouciance.

THE BANDHGALA

We can't help but envy the lack of strain he must feel before any formal event. His classic Indian formal jacket is up a few notches, thanks to the military buttons and slide pockets. Can any man go wrong with all black? SRK proves they cannot.

SPLASH OF RED

Lest you accuse him of being boring, Shah Rukh has this blood-red waistcoat he wears to rev things up a bit.All he has to do is wear it on top of his uniform of white/black T-shirt and jeans. Aspiring actors, take note — it's your job you should take seriously, not your clothes.

THE BLACK JACKET

Ablack jacket is a safe bet, but one with a bit of quirk (the metal fastenings at the collar) stands out. This one is probably given to him by Karan Johar, who created a men's line with designer Varun Bahl for the previous Couture Week.

Shah Rukh goes for belly dancing to maintain abs!!

Heard this??  Shah Rukh Khan, the King of bollywood who need to maintain a chiseled body for his upcoming action flick 'Ra 1', has been advised by his trainers to learn belly dancing with Turkish dancers to maintain his six- pack- abs.

Sources close to King Khan say that SRK is a huge fan of Latin sensation Shakira, and hence, is not averse to this suggestion if that was the only way to give best possible shots for his upcoming magnum opus.

In fact, Shah Rukh even tweeted about his on twitter and wrote how he was expected to go to gym and then swimming and now even belly dancing to maintain that enviable six- pack- abs. Shah Rukh Khan plays the part of a scientist in 'Ra 1', who wants to create a robot for humanity.

Though he succeeds in his endeavor but 'Robot' turns against the human race and starts killing them. Now, King Khan takes the avatar of a superhero in the film and ends the life of 'robot' with his own hands.

The film is a science thriller and is being directed by Anubhav Sinha. It has high octane stunt sequences with very high quality of special effects. Even the special effects team has been hired from Hollywood to give it the required look.

Kareena Kapoor, that sizzling hot bollywood babe who had done an item number in SRK's Don', will be seen playing the character of his wife in the film.

The film is based in London and second spell of shoots were also held there.

Shah Rukh Khan 20 Years to a Decade nearing completion in Turkey!!

Shah Rukh Khan's autobiography—'20 Years To A Decade'—wherein the bollywood mega- star is expected to reveal untold stories of his life, is nearing completion in the beautiful locations of Turkey, where King Khan has been holidaying with Aryan, Suhana and wife Gauri Khan.

Sources say that Shah Rukh Khan has been staying in port town of Kusadasi and his creative juices have been flowing out in the form of this book. However, it will take some more time before the book could be finally released as for the past nine months Shah Rukh Khan had not written a word due to his other pressing engagements.

The book will reveal a new side of Shah Rukh Khan, who is very humble about his achievements and studiously understated instead of his usual flamboyant. However, his trademark self-deprecating humor will remain the hall mark of the upcoming biography.

Half of the book has already been completed and the remaining part is expected to be completed soon. Afterwards, the publishers will take their own time in doing editing and other stuff and finally it is expected to reach his fans by the middle of next year.

In the meantime, Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming flick 'Ra 1' has become a point of discussion between Karan Johar and maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma.

After the bombing of 'Raavan', Ram Gopal Varma had tweeted that 'Raavan' was Mani Ratnam ki Aag' and lets hope that SRK's upcoming 'Ra.1' did  not prove his 'Aag'. Karan retaliated by saying that this humor is never seen in RGV's flicks.

When Shahrukh Khan played guitar in Spain!

Playing the guitar isn't easy. Shahrukh Khan tried his hand at the six-string in the past and realized soon that he was an "awful guitar player".

The star is presently holidaying with his wife and kids in Spain where he had played the guitar long time back in an open square.

"Had once gone to Spain, bought myself a guitar & played it in the square. I am an awful guitar player but people stopped & gave me a listen," SRK tweeted while recalling his earlier visit to the country.

After that one stint with the guitar, SRK never played the instrument again.

"I am smart enough to realise just because people listened does not mean you can take their kindness and give them pain. Never played the guitar again," SRK posted.

Besides holidaying, SRK is also busy filming for his home production Ra.One.

SRK's Spitting Fun!

Heyyyyyyy, hold it. SRK wasn't fined/chided/booked for spitting on the squeaky clean streets of some foreign locale. Far from it.

And far from India, Shah Rukh Khan who's holidaying with spouse and kids in Turkey, indulged in a spitting contest with his scion Aryan on Father's Day.

Expectedly, he hastened to tweet about it too stating, "With my son. Had seen spitting contest in Titanic. Trying to recreate this awful dirty and childish prank with him. It's Father's Day. Have to muster up some pressure in the mouth for the spitting championships."

Rivals, meanwhile, are frothing at the mouth too…

Shahrukh Vs Brad

Bollywood superstar Vs Hollywood heartthrob

First up, for those of you who don't know, here's a little introduction to the world of Bollywood.

Formally referred to as Hindi cinema, Bollywood is the largest film producer in India and one of the largest centres for film production in the world. For a long time Bollywood was more financially viable than it's western 'H' namesake.

With multi million pound productions with glorious cinematic colour and sweeping soundtracks, Bollywood films now traverse the globe and have a huge and devoted worldwide fan base.

A great emphasis is always placed on shooting and choreography for the course of Bollywood's standpatter three hour epics full of melodrama and adventure. Increasing accessibility to professional special effects in recent years has resulted in more ventures into the action and sci fi genres and Bollywood is now a direct competitor to Hollywood's dominance on the world stage rather than, as previously referred to, 'a poor cousin'.

My Name is Khan is the second most expensive Bollywood film to date after Fox Star Entertainment bought the rights for the sum of INR 1 billion.

Starring Shahrukh Khan and Kajol, it is released here on DVD on Monday,  June 28. Here's a quick rundown of its leading man and a comparison to his Hollywood counterpart Brad Pitt.

Bollywood versus Hollywood…who would win in a fight? Go!

brad v khan 300x147 Shahrukh Vs Brad

Shahrukh Khan

With nicknames including 'King Khan' and 'The King of Romance' Khan is the most sought-after actor in Bollywood.

Born on November 2 1965, he's a fair whack shorter than Brad at 5ft 8in. A follower of Hindi, he's been married to Gauri Khan since 1991 and has two children, Aryan and Suhana. Khan has a dog called Chewbacca.

Khan has won 13 Filmfare awards. Seven of which were for Best Actor. In 2005, the Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri for his contributions to Indian Cinema. His IMDB profile states he has 26 wins out of 27 nominations.

Brad Pitt

William Bradley Pitt is the epitome of the Hollywood pin-up and shot to stardom after his early role in Thelma and Louise.

Born on December 18 1963, Pitt is a little shorter than your usual six-foot-plus hunk at 5ft 11in. He has dated, and been married to, some of the most beautiful women in Tinseltown: Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston and now Angelina Jolie.

Pitt has his hands full with three adopted and three biological children with wife Angelina Jolie.

He won a Golden Globe in 1996 for Best Performance in a Leading Role for Twelve Monkeys. Nominated for two Oscars, he's never picked up that elusive win but has a total of 25 wins and 44 nominations.

So Ladies – and gents – please leave your comments in the box!

Will Shah Rukh Khan reveal all?

Shah Rukh Khan has restarted writing his autobiography tentatively titled 20 Years To A Decade that was on hold for a long time.

Sources say he has already finished writing half the book that is likely to reveal many untold details about his life.

Shah Rukh's hectic work schedule coupled with a lot of travelling and then his shoulder injury post which he immediately plunged into shooting for Ra.1 had stopped him from writing the book for 8-9 months.

It seems Turkey, where the actor is presently holidaying with his family, has inspired him to resume writing the autobiography.

Shah Rukh had tweeted a couple of days ago, "in kusadasi a quaint port town in turkey. must say the trip makes me romantic & full of creative ideas. have started to write my book again."

A source adds, "SRK was looking at releasing the book this year but that plan will not materialise because he still has to complete writing the book. After that the proof will be read by the publishers, then the editing will take place and a final clearance from SRK will have to be taken. Most probably the book will be out sometime in the middle of or end of next year."

The source ends saying, "SRK has always been a good talker and the book will follow his easy and friendly style of communicating. He'll not stop at making fun of himself as he always does at public events. But he is underplaying his trademark flamboyance completely in the book. It is definitely a new SRK who the fans will get to meet. He is understated and very humble about his achievements."

Dad's day out for Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan apparently had a Titanic style spitting championship to celebrate Father's Day.

According to sources, even though Gauri Khan has trepid reservations about it, the father-son duo had made up their mind to play the spitting game two days before Father's Day.

"Shah Rukh loves to play all sorts of games with his children. But this idea of a spitting championship apparently came from his son. The two have recently seen Titanic and they just can't get over the spitting game that Leonardo and Kate Winslet were seen playing in the film. The father-son duo had a hell of a time spitting across their balcony," says a source close to the star.

Even Shah Rukh was seen talking about it on his Twitter account. "(I am) with my son. (I) had seen (the) spitting contest in Titanic. (I am) trying to recreate this awful dirty and childish prank with him. Wot the hell, its fathers day," he wrote on Twitter.

Before Shah Rukh signed off for the day he wrote on his twitter that he is practicing for the 'match'. "Bye now... (I) have to muster up some pressure in the mouth for the spitting championships," he further wrote.

SRK also took his children at a water club on the fringes of the city to celebrate Father's Day. The area where SRK and his kids played along with Gauri was cordoned off for security reasons.

"On fathers day took the kids to a waterpark. (I) don't flinch jumping 30/40 ft for a stunt... But had to hold onto them to go down a waterslide," said the star.

This was Shah Rukh's first day off from shooting after a long time since the star got into full-time shooting for his forthcoming super-hero film.

"Shah Rukh had been yearning to take a break for a long time. Father's Day was just the right excuse to have a party with the kids. As of now, he is back on the sets but refreshed after a good day out with his kids," the source added.

SRK advised to do a Shakira!

he fact that Shah Rukh Khan feels he is capable of doing absolutely anything in order to rediscover himself is what makes him different than his contemporaries. The actor has no boundaries and never feels he is confined to doing a particular thing in order to please his fans. After being able to get sex packs in Om Shanti Om at the age of 45, SRK will now be entering pop star Shakira's territory!

We don't mean the superstar is taking to singing professionally. We are talking Belly dancing!

The actor who is holidaying in Europe currently, revealed how his trainers have suggested him to learn Belly dancing in order to maintain the abs.

"Off to gym then a swim & for the abs have been suggested a belly dance with some Turkish dancers. Stars have such a tough exercise regimen" wrote Shah Rukh on Twitter.

Shah Rukh showed a glimpse of his belly dancing during the IPL awards recently as he gyrated along with Yuvraj Singh and Adam Gilchrist on stage as he moved his waist. Shah Rukh is a fan of Shakira, so it won't be long before we would see SRK doing a waka waka in Bollywood.

"It was such a pleasure to shoot with SRK" - Sonal Chauhan

Sonal Chauhan, the dusky beauty who was last seen in Jannat opposite Emraan Hashmi, is back with a 'brand' in a new advertisement for Dish TV with none other than the Baadshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan.

Bollywood Hungama caught up with the beautiful actress to find out more, who willingly tells us, "Yes actually, we have finished with the shoot for the ad about 25 days ago and currently it is being aired on TV networks."

Talking about working with SRK, she says, "It was such a pleasure to shoot with SRK. Firstly, I am a big admirer of his, so when I was approached for the ad by the ad director, I was more than willing. There was no way I was going to say no."

"The ad itself was shot very fast. I think the reason for this is that Shah Rukh is such a magnificent person that all his shots were done in just a single take, besides one more thing I noticed while shooting at Yash Raj studios was that SRK is such a gentleman."

Coming to her films, Sonal says, "My film with Owais Hussain is ready, and currently it is being edited since we have finished shooting. However, I cannot tell you anymore as Owais is the best person to speak to about this. Apart from this, I have another film lined up but again, I can't tell you much as it's still a bit too early."

SRK gets in a spitting contest

Who was his partner in the 'awful and dirty' prank?

Shah Rukh Khan's a doting dad alright, one who's always ready to get childlike with his kids Aryan and Suhana. That explains why he got into a spitting competition with Aryan!

SRK, who's on a family holiday in Turkey, posted on his Twitter page, late yesterday (June 20) "With my son. Had seen spitting contest in Titanic. Trying to recreate this awful dirty and childish prank with him. It's Fathers Day!"

He added, "Have to muster up some pressure in the mouth for the spitting championships."

So what else did SRK and the kids get up to on Father's Day? "On Father's Day took the kids to a waterpark. Dont flinch jumping 30/40 ft for a stunt...but had to hold onto them to go down a waterslide," he continued.

And then the star showed off his funny side, as usual. "To gym, then a swim & for the abs have been suggested a belly dance with some Turkish dancers. Stars have such a tough exercise regimen ha ha."

Shah Rukh and family are also going off the usual celeb trail in Turkey. He'd posted earlier, "In Kusadasi a quaint port town in Turkey. Must say the trip makes me romantic & full of creative ideas. Have started to write my book again."

So SRK's writing a book too? We wonder if the spitting contest will make it to the final draft!

SRK celebrates Father's Day in Istanbul

According to a little birdie, Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan took his family on a trip to Istanbul to celebrate Father's Day.

King Khan said that Istanbul was one of the three places his father wanted to go with him.

Khan tweets, "My father always wanted me to visit Kashmir, Rome and Istanbul with him. He is not around so taking my kids to these places. He will be pleased."

SRK as a loving dad
Shah Rukh Khan has always been a loving dad for his children. Though he is a busy actor, he knows how to take out time for his beloved kids.

Married to Gauri Khan, Shah Rukh has two children, Aryan (13) and Suhana (10).

As quoted by The Times Of India, SRK said, "Someone rightly said, 'Any man can be a father, but it takes time to be a dad'. And that someone was just right."

"Who is dad? He's the mess-maker, rule-breaker, risk-taker and the opposite of mom who is usually seen as the creator and nurturer. But for all his mischief, dads are doing something quite right."

"At times we may have rocked our kids more than their moms have and rolled on the floor foolishly to play. So moms and dads are indeed different. And we know we cannot be like the mothers, but we do know that we can make all the difference by being right there," SRK added.

SRK losses weight while shooting for 'Ra.1'
According to the sources, SRK losses lots of weight during the shooting of 'Ra.1' due to the prosthetics make-up technique that does not allow him to have food and drink water for 8-10 hours.

A source said, "Once on, Shah Rukh Khan can't take the make-up off throughout the day. It's so delicate that any form of pressure would damage it. If that happens then Shah Rukh would have to go through the exhaustive process of make-up again to perfect it."

"Shah Rukh might have lost at least 4-5 kilos during these days of shooting but he has consulted his doctors and the situation has not yet reached an alarming level," the source added.

Shah Rukh on Father's day

He plays a perfect lover on-screen and off screen he is the best dad. Describing a father's role, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan says dads are usually seen as rule-breakers and risk-takers with their kids.

"Someone rightly said, 'Any man can be a father, but it takes time to be a dad'. And that someone was just right," said Shah Rukh who has two children - son Aryan and daughter Suhana.

"Who is dad? He's the mess-maker, rule-breaker, risk-taker and the opposite of mom who is usually seen as the creator and nurturer. But for all his mischief, dads are doing something quite right," the actor said in a statement on the occasion of Father's Day.

Known as Bollywood's favourite romantic hero, Shah Rukh donned the role of a modern, loving dad in movies like "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" and "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham".

"Father's Day is our day, to celebrate 'being dad'. This day gives us the opportunity to show and express our love and care. It's an appropriate platform to look at our children and credit them for bringing joy and happiness. After all, a child gives birth to a father as well. But even though it's celebrated once a year, it's the ever after effect of being a father that will keep us connected.

"A father's role means different to different people so I cannot do justice by trying to define it. But in the traditional way, we hold the role of being the head of the family, protector and role models to our children. We are definitely the more unpredictable lot with our kids.

"At times we may have rocked our kids more than their moms have and rolled on the floor foolishly to play. So moms and dads are indeed different. And we know we cannot be like the mothers, but we do know that we can make all the difference by being right there.

"I understand it's not easy, but I appreciate the effort that's being put in by all fathers, as more and more fathers are becoming aware and taking their role and responsibility seriously and turning into great dads."

Apart from movies, in the recent Pepsodent's ad 'Pappu and Pappa', Shah Rukh is seen playing a doting father to child artist Keval.

"I am happy to know that most of you have joined me in 'Pappu and Pappa' campaign and have made a move towards being the family man and taken to spending quality time with your kids.

"For this moment, I dedicate a song for our special day... Will Smith's 'Just the Two of Us' which celebrates fatherhood. And... dear dads you can do more... Wish you a Happy Fathers Day."

SRK takes kids to Istanbul

NEW DELHI: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has taken his children to Istanbul for a vacation, and says it is among one of the three places his father wanted to visit along with him.

"My father always wanted me to visit Kashmir, Rome and Istanbul with him. He is not around so taking my kids to these places. He will be pleased," Shah Rukh posted on micro-blogging site Twitter Saturday.

Shah Rukh, who married childhood sweetheart Gauri, has two children - Aryan, 13, and Suhana, 10.

Fathers’ Day with Shahrukh Khan

The third Sunday of June is marked as Fathers' Day and is celebrated all over the world. Why celebrate a Fathers' Day? A man with all his virtues and moral values nourishes your development. He spends his hard earned money on you so that you get a better education as well as better facilities in all aspects of your life. But he never asks you anything in return for the money and love that he has showered on you. Why? Because he is your father. So, why not make him feel special for at least one day? Let us take a little time from our busy schedules and dedicate the day to this great man in our lives.

The Baadshah of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan also has a special corner for his father, who is no more now. He starts by wishing everyone a Happy Fathers' Day! Then he quotes a beautiful line, "Any man can be a Father but it takes time to be a dad."

It's really true that the line means a lot. SRK adds, "Who is Dad? Is he the mess-maker, rule-breaker, risk-taker and the opposite of mothers, who usually acts like the creator and nurturer? But in spite of all these things, dads must be doing something quite right! I am happy to know that most of you have joined me in the 'Pappu and Pappa' campaign and have made a move towards being the family man by spending some quality time with your kids."

King Khan continued, "Father's Day is our day, to celebrate 'being a dad'. This day comes with an opportunity to show and convey our love and care. It's an appropriate platform to look at our children and credit them for bringing joy and happiness. After all, a child gives birth to a father as well. But even though it's celebrated once a year, it's the ever after effect of being a father that will keep us connected."

Shahrukh has rightly said that. But the young children of today also need to realize the value of their fathers. Sometimes, we get so busy in our profession that at the end of the day we just want to relax and have fun with our friends. But what about that man, who have spent years of his life caring for your growth and prosperity?

In the words of Shahrukh, "A father's role is different to different people so I cannot do justice by trying to define it. But traditionally, we hold the role of being the head of the family, protector and role models to our children. We are definitely the more unpredictable lot for our kids. At times we may have rocked our kids more than their moms and rolled on the floor foolishly to play. Moms and dads are indeed different. And we know we cannot be like the mothers but we do know that we can make all the difference by being right there.

"I understand it's not easy but I appreciate the effort that's being put in by all the fathers, as more and more fathers are becoming aware and taking their role and responsibility seriously, turning into great dads. For this moment, I dedicate a song for our special day…..Will Smith's "Just the Two of Us" which celebrates fatherhood," he signs off.

With the hope that all the children and their fathers realize the bond as well as the responsibility towards each other, we at Oneindia wish a very Happy Fathers Day to all.

SRK loses weight due to Ra.One

Shooting for Ra.One is adversely affecting Shah Rukh Khan's health. The actor has to don prosthetic make up for 8 to 10 hours a day without a break, even though the make up makes it impossible for him to eat or drink. Removing the make up is not possible either as it is a very delicate cast and even the slightest pressure can break it. It takes hours for the artists to redo it again.  As a result, he has lost around 5 kgs since shooting began. However, his doctors believe the situation has not yet reached alarming proportions and Shah Rukh will be back to his old self once shooting ends.

SRK on a special celeb cruise

Shah Rukh Khan with Gauri
Shah Rukh Khan with Gauri More Pics
By the time you read this, Shah Rukh Khan, with his parivaar would have boarded a celebrity cruise in Istanbul, and will come back only after the 25th. After turning heads and dropping jaws (SRK at Bachchan premiere – where did the hush- hush rivalry disappear and how?) at the Raavan premiere in London, Khan is apparently taking a week's break travelling on this special celeb cruise.

DELHI DOSTS: Further, the khabar is that since this cruise took off on the 10th, there are many jaane maaney log on board already – Krishna Kapoor (Raj Kapoor's wife) with Ranbir Kapoor, and Ritu and Natasha Nanda. Before we think the Khans are set to holiday with the Kapoors, the source reveals that they are not a part of the SRK group. So who's he holidaying with? His Delhi buddies – bro-in-law Vikrant with Namita Chhibba as well as Gauri's mom Savita, SRK's close friend Sanjay Passi and his wife Shalini, along with the glam couple's Mumbai-based friend, socialite Kaajal Anand.

I LUV DITCH STORIES: As if the cruise was not buzzing with enough well-known and well-talked about personalities, we got to know that Karan Johar was initially going to be a part of it, but the director could not make it. Goss is that he ditched them 'coz of work. Remember he's busy with his upcoming movie? So while mom Hiroo Johar would be there, beta would be away. Well, Karan, we thought that for you, it's all about loving your family, isn't it?

Fathers are rule-breakers, risk-takers, says SRK

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan feels that both parents have very different roles to play in a child's life and fathers can not be like mothers.

"A dad is the mess-maker, rule-breaker, risk-taker and the opposite of mom who is usually seen as the creator and nurturer," the 44-year-old actor said in message on Father's Day which would be celebrated on June 20.

"We know we cannot be like the mothers, but we do know that we can make all the difference by being right there," said SRK, a doting father of Aryan, 13, and ten year-old Suhana.

He also dedicated Will Smith's 'Just the Two of Us' to all the fathers who are becoming aware and taking up their responsibility seriously and turning into great dads.

According to Shah Rukh, the day gives fathers the opportunity to show and express their love and care.

RA.ONE: Shahrukh with the stunts while Kareena looks sexy!

As news of the shooting progress of Anubhav Sinha's most ambitious superhero flick, RA.ONE filters in, the buzz and the excitement seems to be building up with each passing day. The film will see Shah Rukh Khan performing some amazing daredevil action sequences with the help of world class special effects. And recently there were some talks that the lead actress, Kareena Kapoor too will show off her action talent in the film. So, how true is that?

Well, sorry to disappoint but Kareena is certainly not following her DON co-star Priyanka and performing action sequences/ stunts in RA.ONE. The lady who is seeing some pretty good times ever since her first all time blockbuster in form of 3 IDIOTS and recently being voted India's most beautiful woman, clarified that she will not be performing any action scenes in RA.ONE.

However her fans need not be disappointed as Kareena also stated that it will be Shah Rukh who will be doing the stunts while she will look sexy and beautiful in the movie.

Certainly, a sexy Kareena will definitely make RA.ONE a hotter proposition!

SRK takes care of his children while Gauri is away

Shahrukh Khan is a perfect family man and most likely a dotting father. He shares a very special bonding with his two children, Aryan and Suhana. Recently, he played a perfect daddy when Gauri was away and took the best care of them.

Shahrukh likes spending time with kids and the children also enjoyed being pampered by their father. Gauri was off to the US for vacationing with friends Karan Johar, Hrithik Roshan and Suzanne Roshan. They celebrated Karan Johar's birthday in the US.

King Khan is one of the busiest actors in Bollywood but when it comes to family, he ranks higher. He never neglects family priority for his work. Family comes first for SRK.

Buzz has it that Arjun Rampal has now approached Shah Rukh for a special appearance in the next venture of his production company, which he is planning to revive shortly. When we asked Arjun about it, he spontaneously quipped, “Wouldn’t it make better business sense to sign Shah Rukh for a full-fledged role instead of for just a special appearance?”

Arjun Rampal is currently busy with Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One. “But barring three days of patchwork, I am almost done with my work in Shah Rukh Khan’s production.”

Shahrukh khan and Gauri at the Raavan London premiere

SRK demystifies the Gauri aura!

/photo.cms?msid=6059009 'Blessed is the man who can laugh at himself, for he will never cease to be amused'.

Whoever thinks Shah Rukh Khan can only take a dig at others should rethink as the man is brave enough to unmask himself and indulge in some self deprecating humour too which doesn't even spare his wife Gauri!

The king recently posted a picture of him and his Queen Gauri on Twitter in which the two are sans makeup!

Shah Rukh in his typical sharp wit even described the picture as 'This is how Gauri is post midnight. Cindrella after the pumpkins gone ha ha'.

/photo.cms?msid=6059018 The pictures were clicked post Raavan's premiere in London.

The superstar has even put up his pictures with daughter Suhana post the event on his social networking site.

We wonder what Gauri and the kids have to say about SRK revealing his real life beneath the fairy tale that it appears to be...

Anubhav needs Shah Rukh's consent

When you have Shah Rukh Khan in your film and a lot of money riding on it, it's natural that expectations are high. Though Anubhav Sinha (director of Dus and Tum Bin) has taken on Shah Rukh's home production Ra.One, he is apparently turning to Shah Rukh for approval after every take. This means that Shah Rukh is effectively calling the shots.

A source from the unit says, "After every shot, Anubhav looks at Shah Rukh for approval. Shah Rukh tries to look away a bit, not wanting to interfere. But Anubhav is too awed by Shah Rukh's presence on the set. He doesn't okay any scene until Shah Rukh says so. He calls Shah Rukh and says, 'Sir, dekh lo, theek hai ya nahi'."
We hear that Anubhav even asks Shah Rukh if he would like another take or not. "The number of takes in almost every scene depend on what Shah Rukh feels after he sees, or rather is made to see, the scene on the monitor," adds the source.

We don't know if Shah Rukh is enjoying this. But anyway, he probably isn't complaining as Ra.One is his company's most ambitious and expensive project till date.

Repeated calls and a text message to Anubhav were unanswered.

Shahrukh Khan wants luck for ‘Ra.One’

Actor-turned-producer Shahrukh Khan's focus is solely on his mega project Ra.One. Yeah! playing a superhero is no cakewalk but definitely a back aching grind. And to double it up with the responsibilities of a producer makes the task all the more daunting.

So what's wrong if the superstar wants to bring on some good luck for India's biggest sci-fi film? SRK has asked his good friend, director Karan Johar to take some shots for 'Ra.One' because the actor apparently considers Karan lucky even though everyone knows that Karan has never directed an action flick.

Khan, who is in London nowadays, tweets to Karan, "Come to London and shoot a few shots for 'Ra.One' for luck." To which, Karan replies, "Will arrive for sure bhai (brother)... though my action and sci-fi skills are highly questionable!"

Rub some luck!

SRK asks Karan to shoot 'Ra.One'

Anubhav Sinha seems to be doing a fine job of directing sci-fi film Ra.One, but actor-producer Shah Rukh Khan still wants his close friend Karan Johar to take some shots to bring in good luck.

"Come to London and shoot a few shots for Ra.One for luck," Shah Rukh posted to Karan on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Karan, who directed his films with Shah Rukh in the lead, replied, "Will arrive for sure bhai (brother)... though my action and sci-fi skills are highly questionable!"

In fact, Karan is producing Agneepath remake but he will not wield the megaphone for the movie as he doubts his capability of directing an action film.

SRK to invade Italy, Greece

A long and beautiful journey awaits Shah Rukh Khan, who is all set to explore the spectacular towns of London, Italy, Greece and Turkey in the coming days.

According to Indian media reports, Shahrukh Khan and his two children, Aryan and Suhana, as well as John Abraham, Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea will attend the tournament.

On the social networking blog Twitter, Khan wrote: "Taking kids for the matches in s.africa. i also have an all- girls' team which i coach. ha ha."

He added: "I wish my mom was here, would have taken her with me. Our favourites are Argentina, Brazil, Germany and Spain ... England will do well too, i think. use to keep up all nite watching Rudi Voller, Rumeinnege, Socrates and Maradonna. Mom and me, soccer and TV fans. Never miss matches and always miss mom."

He said he was surprised that India was the only developing nation that had not taken to football.

"Hope new generation takes it up now that we are leaders."

In an interview with India's Mid-Day newspaper, Morea said he was planning to fly to South Africa for the World Cup.

"I am rooting for Italy."

He said he would like to see Apna India (Team India) in the World Cup.

Abraham told the Hindustan Times that he planned to be in Johannesburg on July 11. "Of course, it will eventually depend on my schedule. If I don't have a prior commitment, I will most certainly be in South Africa to catch the action."

Earlier this week, Amitabh Bachchan wrote on his blog that his "home enthusiast, Mr Abhishek, has expressed his absolute desire" to be at the final.

"I know where this is coming from. A World Cup final in Los Angeles many years ago between Italy and Brazil - what a dream match - had instigated such interest. And we all just got up and left for the United States of America to attend this great pairing off."

However, it has since been learnt that Abhishek will not be coming to South Africa owing to the release of his new film, Raavan, on Friday.

"MNIK has transcended across boundaries" - Karan Johar

Karan Johar is happy. In line with the strategy that Karan and FOX had for the staggered release of My Name Is Khan across the globe, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer has over the last few weeks seen a global release across USA, Germany as well as France. Not just did the film invite attention from the discerning audience, it also saw favourable reviews coming its way from reputed international critics, something which was a reason for joy for Karan Johar.

"That's right; the film was reviewed very well in all New York papers. We opened in a very limited engagement at Angelica Film Centre where only prestigious art house cinema from across the globe is screened. It was a matter of pride for us to see people so much interested in our film", says Karan Johar who traveled globally with his film.

"The film has indeed transcended across boundaries", continues Karan, "It has released in Germany as well as France now. In the weeks to come, we would also be releasing in Russia as well as many other territories. People at FOX are planning it all out. MNIK has truly emerged as the first global film to be coming out of India and doing well commercially as well."

One wonders though, if the theatrical release of My Name Is Khan across the globe would actually see much moolah coming the films away. After all the DVDs of the film are already out, so how many can be expected to pay for a theatre ticket.

"But the DVDs have been released only in India. Globally, we are yet to come out with home video", clarifies Karan.

Meanwhile, there has been so much said and written about the eventual box office fate of MNIK in India. While speculations are being made from all quarters, does he wish to confirm how exactly has it fared eventually?

"Well, in India MNIK has been a huge hit. In overseas, it is the biggest ever hit. See, MNIK is a very different film. It is not your quintessential entertainer. It doesn't have comedy and popular music which is staple diet for Bollywood followers. Still, it netted 75 crores just in India. Even in overseas, it has been the number one grosser ever. If we talk about the cumulative business between Indian and overseas, it is amongst the Top 3 Bollywood films ever", Karan states some hard facts before signing off.
